Tables & Saved Views

Forerunner's saved table view functionality allows users to customize and save specific table configurations, making it easier to access frequently used data layouts. The feature enables users to filter on all of their data and add relevant columns to their tables to better visualize and reference data for their day-to-day workflows. This article will walk through the features and permissions associated with saved table views.
Creating and Managing Saved Views
Creating a New View From Scratch
- Click
Create new view
from the view dropdown on the table of your choice - Configure your table as desired (add/remove columns, apply filters, etc.)
- Click the
Save View
button - Give your view a name and click
Save
- Note that everyone in your Forerunner account will be able to see and reference your saved views.
Creating a New View from an Existing View
- Adjust filters or column configuration on an existing view in your account
- The
Save view
button will appear when changes are made - When you have completed your changes, click the
Save view
button and clickSave as new view
- Give your view a name and click
Save
- Note that everyone in your Forerunner account will be able to see and reference your saved views.
Updating an Existing Saved View
- To update an existing saved view, make the desired changes you want using the filters and columns
- When you have completed your changes, click the
Save view
button and clickUpdate existing view
- Note that you will only be able to update existing saved views that you have created, not other team members
Re-naming a Saved View
- To re-name a saved view, click on the
...
icon next to the view in the view dropdown on the lefthand side of your table - Click
Re-name view
and update your view name
- Note that you can only re-name a Saved View that you have created, not other team members
Deleting a Saved View
- To delete a saved view, click on the
...
icon next to the view in the view dropdown on the lefthand side of your table - Click
Delete
to delete your view
- Note that you can only re-name a Saved View that you have created, not other team members
Default Views
Each high-level object in the system comes with a Default View. These views mirror the existing column configuration on tables, providing a familiar starting point for your data exploration.
View permissions
PII permissions
- Saved views on your account that reference PII will not be visible to users that do not have PII permissions.
Views created by other team members
- You cannot update, make edits or delete a saved view that was created by another team member, you can always create a new view from an existing view if you want to duplicate or make updates.
